Howlingly terrific storm
overnight,
but by morning we are none the worse,
and good thing,
too,
as
this
will
be
our
main
(pre-)Christmas celebration of the year.
But,
before this,
another walk down to the shoreline
(tide higher,
with driftwood),
followed
by,
Pearl
south,
to
west
and
north
again on 131,
Oceanside
and
further,
this
time
to
Short
Beach,
fairly
howling
in a
stiff breeze
and
spritz,
but quite
scenic.
From here,
a brief exploration
of
Happy Camp,
second visit to
downtown Netarts,
then
back,
graced by
tantalizing
hints of blue sky,
for
Yuletide festivities,
beginning
with
an
advisorial
position
in a game of Trivial Pursuit
in
the
transforming
light,
delightful gift openings, and general merriment -- on this (at home, at least) 40th day of fall, high falling 10 to 54 (actually warmer locally, at 59)... .02 rain, for 4.77 total since July 1...
