Awake in the Netarts,
OR,
beach house master bedroom
(one level down from the living area)
to cloudy skies but beautiful views of the Bay and
Spit,
with the tide still fairly in,
active waves breaking at a distance and more gentle motion
(and sound)
up close --
apparently far enough up the slope to be out of the tsunami district,
but one never knows...
wind-beaten
pines
gyrating
in
the
breeze.
Out
for
an
initial
Lookout
(Ridge /
Cape
south)
and
errand
run,
back
to
walk with
Harriet
down
to
the
receeding-
tide
shoreline,
eventually
reversing
course
through
dense
folliage
to
the
treetop
abode.
In
time
we
turn
towards
Tillamook for
Christmas shopping with
Aubrey, Claire, and
Tisha --
later
adventuring
back
on
131
West
and
North
to
Oceanside,
then
beyond
for
a
Cape
Meares
lookabout
and
walkabout
to
the
Lighthouse,
a light rain falling on our return,
which does not much obscure views south to
Three Arch Rocks
and
nearer
vistas.
Return
south
and
east
to
a
late-
afternoon
re-
rendezvous,
dinner with all, includng Tom; on this (at home, at least) 49th day of fall, high up a point to 64 (Netarts / Tillamook, 55)...
